CrossFit Coordinate 2026 Cycle 1 Movements
Welcome to the first CrossFit Coordinate 2026 Programming Cycle. This year we will keep our naming simple, no more mythical creatures, but rather we will following the CrossFit style of calling our first cycle of 2026, “2026 Cycle 1”. Yes, very original and boring 😀
- Front/Back Squat – Instead of focusing on just one type of squat, we will focus on both with various complexes and lifts designed to build upon our most recent back squat cycle. We will start the cycle with some higher volumes and then work through. For front/back squat cycle we will merge our test with the Echo Bike, so be on the lookout for a really tough couplet to see how well you can lift a progressively heavier barbell while under fatigue!
Here’s what the founder of CrossFit, Greg Glassman, has to say about the squat in general, “The squat is essential to your well-being. The squat can both greatly improve your athleticism and keep your hips, back, and knees sound and functioning in your senior years.” This is one of the reasons why you will see a squat in every cycle that we do. - Power Snatch – We bring back the Power Snatch with an interesting twist, you might see a challenging hero workout in this cycle, can you guess which one? With a test of a one-rep max you will need the perfect blend of technique and strength to get that PR!
- Push Press – It’s time to use the strong arms and legs for the push press! We will build off of the our previous Strict Press cycle and this time we can use those legs for some extra “oomph!”. For this cycle we focus on percentage based work to test our 1 rep max!
- Echo Bike – With the CrossFit Open coming up, it’s time to build our engines! You will need to be as strong and as stubborn to get those bike calories to move! We will be mixing up the Echo Bike work with some extra Metcons and lifts to keep things spicy!

Let’s get stronger together !
