Real People, Real Results Over 40
Jimi’s Story: Age 56
At 56, Jimi had been an avid distance runner for over 20 years, completing multiple marathons. But two decades of pounding the pavement had left him with chronic knee pain and shoulder issues. He thought his strongest days were behind him. That was before he discovered CrossFit Coordinate in April 2024.
“CrossFit Coordinate taught me how to properly lift with dumbbells and barbells. I now know how to properly squat weight, swing a kettlebell, and get everything out of a workout and then some.”
Today, Jimi describes his transformation as “time travel” back to the fittest version of himself he never knew existed. His knee pain has subsided, his shoulder issues have resolved, and he’s achieving fitness levels that surpass anything he experienced in his 30s.
Blake’s Story: 1,000+ Classes
Blake makes CrossFit part of his daily routine despite working 10+ hour days
Blake started at CrossFit Coordinate in November 2017 with straightforward goals: gain strength and improve conditioning. Despite working demanding 10+ hour days, six to seven days a week, he made CrossFit part of his daily routine.
“The community and coaching make it fun. I look forward to going to the gym—I get everything I need in less than an hour!”
Now a member of our 1,000 Class Commitment Club, Blake continues to set personal records year after year.
Maria’s Story: Working Mom
Maria went from intimidated newcomer to confident CrossFit athlete in just 10 weeks
Maria, a working mom who walked through our doors just a few months ago feeling intimidated by the whole CrossFit scene. Within ten weeks, she went from nervous newcomer to confident participant in the CrossFit Open—an international fitness competition.
She specifically mentions how safe she feels during every workout, with coaches vigilant about proper form and technique.
Aimee’s Story: From Intimidated to Inspired
Aimee spent months driving past CrossFit Coordinate, too intimidated to try. When she finally walked through the door, she discovered something unexpected.
“Zero ego, just good people cheering each other on. From day one, I was greeted with warmth and encouragement that immediately put me at ease.”
Addressing Your Concerns
“Is It Too Late to Start?”
At 56, Jimi is achieving the best physical condition of his life. Maria started just months ago and is already competing internationally. It’s not too late—starting now could prevent the decline many accept as inevitable.
“I Have Previous Injuries or Chronic Pain”
Jimi came to CrossFit with existing knee and shoulder issues from 20 years of marathon running. Rather than worsening these problems, proper training helped resolve them. Our coaches are trained to work around injuries and often help strengthen areas that cause chronic pain.
“I Don’t Have Time”
Blake works 10+ hours per day, six to seven days a week, and he’s completed over 1,000 classes. Maria balances work and motherhood and still makes it to the gym three times per week. Our classes deliver maximum benefit in under an hour.
“Won’t I Feel Out of Place?”
Remember Aimee driving past for months, feeling intimidated? We specialize in making people over 40 feel welcome, because that’s who we are.
